This year’s Lenten Project is the, “Society of St. Vincent de Paul's North of 60 Project,”  in support of Rankin Inlet. The needs of this community are very great and specific. We have been asked to collect one specific item for a shipment of goods that will be sent to this community in our Canadian North.

St. Daniel will be collecting 2kg bags of Redpath sugar. (Size and brand is important)  Students are encouraged to bring in one 2kg bag of sugar or a toonie as part of their almsgiving during lent. All money raised will be used to purchase additional bags of sugar.  These are the only items we are collecting as they are making specific space for our contribution  in the container destined for Rankin Inlet. Best before dates must be 2021 or later on each individual package, as outdated items will not be shipped out.

Our goal is to collect 200 bags of sugar between now and Easter.  The St. Daniel Social Justice Club thanks you for your assistance with this project.
